See How Our Trash Is Destroying Our Oceans In The "Toxic Garbage Island"

Those of you that are familiar with the term “ocean garbage patch” probably won’t find much surprising in this video, although you might, that documents the rapid destruction of our oceans from the garbage we throw away every day.

The hour-long documentary Toxic Garbage Island has just been posted to the web in three parts and it shows how our increasing use of the oceans as a garbage dump is coming back to bite us on the ass, and not too gently at that.

The documentary originally started out trying to find one of those famous ocean islands of garbage but while trying to find it they also started analyzing, and documenting, a growing number of large chunks of floating garbage that they came across on the journey to the garbage patches.
