0A Seven-Year-Old Caught By Passerby As She Falls From Three-Story Window [Video]
This is one very lucky sever-year-old little girl who probably wouldn’t have survived her fall from a three story window if it wasn’t for 52-year-old Stephen St. Bernard.
It happened when St. Bernard spotted Keyla McCree standing extremely close to the edge of an AC unit outside a third-story apartment in Coney Island. With no other thought he ran to under the window just in time to catch the little girl as she fell.
The police after investigating the incident believe that Keyla, who is autistic, had pushed back one of the partitions holding the air conditioner in place and then stepped out on to the AC unit. The child’s mother, Shaleema, was busy watching her other child and didn’t notice what Keyla was doing.
The seven-year-old was taken to the hospital but released after she was found to only have minor injuries, whereas her rescuer, Stephen St. Bernard suffered a torn shoulder.
Amazingly the whole incident was caught on video.
