0Finally! A Chemical Coating That Gets Ketchup Out Of The Bottle
Dave Smith and his team of mechanical engineers have finally created a coating worth raving about. The MIT grad student and his fellow researchers were able to create a “non-toxic” coating that can be applied to the inside of ketchup bottles and all sort of other containers, allowing sticky products to easy slide out.
Known as “LiquidGlide” the “super slippery” chemical was developed using all FDA-approved chemicals that are believed to be safe for consumption, a process that proved to be the hardest part for the group.
The product is apparently so impressive that it came in second place at the MIT $100K Entrepreneurship Competition while also winning the audience-choice award.
When asked about the company’s control over this particular aspect of the $17 billion condiment industry Smith says:
“I can’t say what they are, but we’ve patented the hell out of it.”
Would you like your Ketchup bottles to have a safe, non-stick coating to help get the last of the ketchup out of the bottle?
