Sexting Pics May Be Down to Biological Urge, Sexperts Say

For some reason (tits and ass, perhaps?) the subject of sexting always gets people’s interest piqued, and despite frequent chastisement from all corners, it seems humanity is ill-equipped to fight the urge to take pictures of their junk and send them to lovers or post them on the internet.

Political careers have collapsed over bait-and-tackle pics. Celebrities have discovered their private parts splashed across the web as sextable pics have fallen into the wrong hands and yet stick anyone under the age of 40 alone in a room with a smartphone, and there’s a 67% chance images of delicate ladyparts or wangs will be transmitted.

One would think it’s some kind of human nature thing at play, and experts are inclined to agree. Well, Daily Mail experts. Marta Meana, president of the Society for Sex Therapy and Research, told the tabloid:

“‘Being desired is very arousing to women… An increasing body of data is indicating that the way women feel about themselves may be very important to their experience of sexual desire and subjective arousal, possibly even outweighing the impact of their partners’ view of them.”

The paper cites the many prominent sexting scandals of recent years as proof that even when the behavior is ill-advised, people can’t override the urge to post pictures of their bits to the internet, male or female.
