Disney Cruise Line Employee Allegedly Steals Passenger’s iPhone, Unwittingly Stars in Viral Facebook Album
No matter how many times thieves get themselves caught by taking pictures with a stolen iPhone or cell phone, they can’t seem to resist the urge to do it anyway- and a Disney Cruise Line employee is the latest dude to find himself accused of sticky smartphone fingers when a bunch of pictures of him showed up in a passenger’s Photo Stream after her phone was taken.
Of course, that in and of itself is certainly not reason to believe with certainty the man- identified as Nelson- actually stole the phone himself or knew himself with certainty that it was hot. However, one can reasonably assume Nelson did not purchase said phone through a proper iPhone retailer, so it’s reasonable to believe he knew he shouldn’t be playing around with the phone, however it was obtained.
Actually, as hard as it is to feel bad for someone who allegedly steals things, Nelson was working aboard the ship, versus the passenger who was vacationing on the trip. And the album, which has been shared more than 1,200 times, depicts not only Nelson, but his pregnant and likely unaware girlfriend, as well as a slew of other workers who did not consent to having their images splashed about the internet because someone they knew allegedly stole an iPhone.
Even if your phone is snatched, it’s kind of a dick move to do that to the other, presumably honest people- there are pictures of Nelson alone, so the point could have been made without shaming all the people who are guilty solely of the crime of being aboard a ship on which Katy McCaffrey’s iPhone was stolen.
