Man Survives Getting Shot Through The Neck With An Arrow [Video]

When Konstantine Myakush, a 38-year-old Russian father, went for a park with his two daughters the last thing he could have possibly imagined to happen to him did in fact happen – he got shot through the neck with a 20-inch arrow.

It would seem that the park that Myakush and his daughters went for a walk in was next to an archery club and the arrow had been misfired by a member. The arrow struck Myakush in such a way that if it had hit him just one inch to either right or left it would have pierced a major artery.

Amazingly Myakush remained conscious after being hit and phoned his wife to tell her what had happened and it was her that phoned for an ambulance. Once he was taken to the hospital Myakush was operated on and the surgeons successfully removed the arrow. He is now recovering in hospital and expected to make a full recovery.

Police believe that it was a misfire by a member of the archery club and the club officials have suspended an instructor as well as suspending any outdoor practice.
