Priceline to Kill William Shatner On Monday

William Shatner Killed Off From Priceline

William Shatner in recent times has almost become as famous for his Priceline persona as he is for playing Star Trek’s Capt. James T. Kirk and now just as Kirk died in the line of duty so shall his Priceline character.

In what may be a first the Priceline Negotiator is ending his Priceline career with a rather gruesome sendoff, going off a bridge on a bus.

Shatner standing on the back side of the bus says to a passenger who has made it safely off:

“Save yourselves _ some money,” as he hands his cell phone to the customer just as the bus falls into a dry creek bed and explodes on impact.

Speaking to the Associated Press on Wednesday he said of the sad demise:

“I’m in grief mode. It’s not the first time I’ve had an iconic character die off.”

The death of William Shatner comes after 14 years as the company’s head spokesman and arrives at a time when Shatner, 80, has said various times he would like to slow down and vacation, however it appears that the company’s CEO Christopher Soder may have been behind the demise, stating that the company needs to reflect a broader strategy with its programs.

Regardless of why William Shatner is being kicked off I almost feel sorry for him, he died on Star Trek, had the early stages of Alzheimer’s on Boston Legal and now he’s being killed off again.

Do you think killing off William Shatner was the right decision made by Priceline?
