0Frances Bean Cobain Says Twitter Should Ban Courtney Love
First of all, it’s been like 18 years since Kurt Cobain died, so I’ll start off this post with the obligatory feel old, everyone.
Frances Bean Cobain is Cobain’s only child with fellow grunge rocker Courtney Love, and in recent years, Cobain has distanced herself from her somewhat erratic mother. Love has been in Twitter trouble in the past, sparring with creative types and lawyers over personal disputes- but last night, gossip blogs were abuzz regarding a rather salacious allegation she made about Frances herself.
According to the private tweets sent by Love, Frances had been sexually propositioned by her deceased husband’s former bandmate and all-around liked-dude Dave Grohl. In the tweets, screenshotted on Gawker, Love repeated a rumor she’d heard that the two had gotten frisky, adding that Grohl had been in love with or sexually interested in both Love and Cobain in the 90’s and bedded many of her friends.
Grohl’s publicist responded to the allegations, but Frances has also responded, releasing a statement through a rep:
“While I’m generally silent on the affairs of my biological mother, her recent tirade has taken a gross turn. I have never been approached by Dave Grohl in more than a platonic way. I’m in a monogamous relationship and very happy.
Twitter should ban my mother.”
