Beach Volleyball Bikini

If you watch beach volleyball because of the two piece bikinis you’ll be disappointed to learn that those two-piece outfits have been banned from the 2012 London Olympics.

Under recently instituted rules by the International Volleyball Federation players will be able to wear shorts and sleeves tops and that’s about it.

The organizations governing body decided to implement the dress code in order to respect cultural beliefs from the events more stingy countries.

In the meantime the federation will not say which countries lobbied for the cover up rule in London.

According to the organizations new rules players can wear:

“Shorts of a maximum length of (1.18 inches) above the knee, and sleeved or sleeveless tops.”

Beach Volleyball has allowed bikini’s since the Olympics first introduced the sport during the 1996 Atlanta Games.
