Whitney Houston Cause Of Death Revealed. Ruled Accidental Drowning
The official coroners report for Whitney Houston was revealed by the LA county coroner on Thursday and the official cause of death has been listed as “accidental drowning.”
Whitney perished in her own Beverly Hills hotel bathtub and she was found to have quite a few drugs in her system including marijuana, Xanax, Benadryl and a muscle relaxant.
The report also cites cocaine and heart disease as contributing factors in the singers death.
According to one theory cocaine use led to the hardening of her arteries which brought about a heart attack, causing Houston to lose consciousness and drown.
Whatever the true cause of her death may be the Houston family released the following statement following the coroner’s report:
“We are saddened to learn of the toxicology results, although we are glad to now have closure.”
