Florida ‘Zombie Attack’ Remains a Mystery, Eyewitness Speaks

It’s kind of inevitable that the incident in Miami in which a man was shot- twice- after failing to obey an officer’s orders to stop chewing another man’s face off would be compared to nearly every zombie movie ever.

But authorities still have more questions than answers in the bizarre and gruesome case. Neither the attacker nor the victim have been identified by police, and eyewitnesses to the horrific late night incident are palpably shaken by what they saw.

Terrifyingly, witness Larry Vega explains to press that he observed the start of the attack in horror, and tried at first to get the attacker to stop:

“I told him to get off… and the guy just kept eating the other guy away.”

Vega then says he went to fetch an officer, and that even when approached by the law, the attacker wouldn’t budge:

“The guy just stood, his head up like that, with pieces of flesh in his mouth. And he growled.”

The officer reportedly shot the attacker once, and was forced to shoot him a second time, killing him. The victim is said to be in critical condition after the attack.
