Trayvon Martin’s Killer Reportedly Sets Up Websites, Hints Heavily at Seeking Donations

George Zimmerman (the guy who has been virtually invisible since he sparked off tremendous controversy by shooting and killing Florida teen Trayvon Martin for being in the wrong white neighborhood at the wrong time) reportedly set up a website seeking donations due to the fact he has been unable to work since the backlash erupted.

Zimmerman has reportedly been on the receiving end of death threats, and rallies have been held across America demanding justice for Trayvon Martin. As of yet, no arrest has been made in the case, and many have cited Florida’s controversial “Stand Your Ground” laws as the basis for Zimmerman’s continued freedom. Today, the site (therealgeorgezimmerman.com) launched with sparse content, mainly featuring an open letter purportedly penned by Zimmerman.

In the letter, the writer refers to a “life altering event” leading him to being “the subject of intense media coverage.” He begins:

“As a result of the incident and subsequent media coverage, I have been forced to leave my home, my school, my employer, my family and ultimately, my entire life. This website’s sole purpose is to ensure my supporters they are receiving my full attention without any intermediaries… It has come to my attention that some persons and/or entities have been collecting funds, thinly veiled as my ‘Defense Fund’ or ‘Legal Fund.'”

Which is all very sad, of course, except that Trayvon Martin has been forced to leave this mortal coil. The person or persons purporting to be Zimmerman then requests donations to help during this difficult period, promising that he will be personally accountable for all funds and promises not to shoot them right in the chest:

“I cannot attest to the validity of these other websites as I have not received any funds collected, intended to support my family and I through this trying, tragic time… I have created a Paypal account solely linked on this website as I would like to provide an avenue to thank my supporters personally and ensure that any funds provided are used only for living expenses and legal defense, in lieu of my forced inability to maintain employment.

“I will also personally, maintain accountability of all funds received. I reassure you, every donation is appreciated.”

The validity of the website has not been confirmed given that Zimmerman has still not surfaced to address the “incident,” but if it’s legit, the lack of remorse is nearly vomit-inducing.
