New Cadillac’s Will Warn Drivers When They Veer Off Course

2012 Cadillac SRX

If you’ve been driving for any extended period of time it’s likely that you’ve veered off course while paying attention to something other than the road or perhaps you have even fallen asleep behind the wheel. With those scenarios in mind Cadillac has created a new vehicle warning system that will protect drivers in those very situations.

The new models of the Cadillac SRX, ATS, and XTS will all come equipped with a feature that vibrates the drivers seat should they veer off course.

Cadillac wanted to make sure the new feature wouldn’t embarrass their drivers in front of other people so the feature is “quite, it’s private” according to Cadillac’s safety director.

Taking the technology even further the seat will vibrate on the left side or the right side based on which way the driver is swerving.

The new Cadillac warning system users sensors and cameras to figure out which way to sound the alarm.

If you don’t want to buy a Cadillac the feature will soon be coming to GM vehicles and likely other vehicle manufacturers along the way.
