0Larry King Hosting New Show For Online Only Audience
Strap on your suspenders and get ready because former CNN talk show host Larry King is returning to TV. This time however the 78-year-old will be honing in on an online-only audience for a new internet network finances by Carlos Slim Helu.
The new network is called Ora.tv and it will be officially announced today.
Speaking about his decision to jump back into hosting duties King says:
“I run into people everyday who tell me they miss the show. And a lot of times, I miss it too.”
It looks like the King family is in on this one together as Larry’s wife Shawn will also host her own show that focuses on style and interviewing celebrities.
The new online network is being run by former News Corp. executive Jon Housman and is financed exclusively by America Movil.
Slim has been attempting to break into the Mexian pay-TV market for some time however his efforts up until this point have been hampered by government officials. If the network is a success it’s likely to branch out into homes throughout Mexico.
Are you happy to learn that Larry King will be returning to his talk show roots?
