New Zealand Town Flooded With Eels Following Heavy Rainstorms [Video]

We are all familiar with the old saying it’s raining cats and dogs which is usually said as a way to indicate that it is a really heavy rainstorm but I have yet to hear one that has anything to do with eels, but I’m sure that the folks of Masterton, New Zealand, will probably come up with one following recent heavy storms.

While the storms may not have brought dogs and cats to the streets of Masterton they most certainly did bring eels – and a lot of eels.

Jermaine Kerehi, a Masterton inhabitant, took to the street of his town with his video camera to document the larger number of eels that could be seen swimming in the gutters and streets.

Here is the video he took (be warned the language is NSFW).
