0Sedated hospital patient chewed on by a rat
I hate rats. I mean ever since I was a kid I’ve hated those damn things so the idea of going through what Jason Ketley recently did just gives me the worst case of shivers and nausea.
Jason, who is a 42 year-old mentally challenged man; with the mental age of two, in Epsom, Surrey, was going to bed in a specialist care unit at the St. Ebba’s hospital in Epsom after being given a sedation drug, when the attack happen shortly after laying down.
Jason apparently was bitten more than a dozen times and it was only when the nurses saw him stumbling down the hall with the rat hanging from his neck that they finally managed to stop his torment.
Jason finally calmed down after the nurses knocked the rodent off of him and killed it. The hospital administrators say that it was only a field mouse and not a rat as is being purported.
But Jason’s mum Pat Boardman said: “That’s an outrageous claim. He had large, open bite marks.
“I’m appalled that this sort of thing could happen to my son in an NHS hospital in this day and age.
“He was completely helpless and terrified. It’s a disgrace. He was very scared and the staff had to show him they had killed the rat to prove it could no longer hurt him.”

I don’t know, do you think that a small field mouse could have done this?
