JK Rowling Signs New Book Deal, Writing Novel Geared Towards Adult Readers
With her Harry Potter characters all grown up author JK Rowling has decided to write an actual book for an adult audience and she’s signed a book deal to publish the new novel with Little, Brown and Company.
In announcing her new adult book deal Rowling said in a statement:
“Although I’ve enjoyed writing it every bit as much, my next book will be very different to the Harry Potter series.”
Rowling then added:
“The freedom to explore new territory is a gift that Harry’s success has brought me.”
At this point there’s very little information available about her new project, the author hasn’t even released a title, any information about the books plot or an estimated publication date.
Will you be running out to pick up the new JK Rowling book when it’s released? With many young adults growing into adulthood by the end of Harry Potters 7 year run at Hogwarts I won’t be surprised to see this new adult offering at the top of the New York Times bestseller list.
