0ICE Agent Opens Fire, Shoots Two at CA Office Building
An Immigration and Customs Enforcement officer opened fire today at the Glenn M. Anderson Federal Building in Long Beach, California- killing one fellow ICE officer and wounding another before he was shot and killed.
By 6:50PM local time, law enforcement officials had secured the scene, and no further casualties were reported. Information about the incident is scant, and the Associated Press obtained one statement about the shooting under the condition of anonymity, confirming that all three agents involved were with ICE:
A Long Beach police official told the Associated Press that the shooter killed one person, wounded another with a shot to the stomach, and then was killed. The official spoke on condition of anonymity because he wasn’t authorized to speak publicly about the case.
The injured survivor was transported to a local hospital, and it is not known what his or her condition is. Neither the victim nor the gunman’s identity has been made public, and no information has been given about any possible motive for the shooting.
