Weak Handshake? You Might Die Early Or Have A Stroke [Study]

Handshake and Stroke Correlation

A new study has revealed that a weak handshake could lead to strokes and early death. Researchers studying the pace at which people walk to determine their likelihood of developing dementia later in life stumbled onto the fact that out of 79 people who had strokes, most had a weaker grip.

According to the studies lead researcher:

“These are basic office tests which can provide insight into risk of dementia and stroke and can be easily performed by a neurologist or general practitioner.”

Unfortunately more research is needed to determine if a direct correlation exists between handshake strength and the future chance of stroke.

In the meantime researcher Dr Camargo said:

“These are basic office tests which can provide insight into risk of dementia and stroke and can be easily performed by a neurologist or general practitioner.”

With strokes potentially leading to death a weak handshake could literally lead to an early death.
