0Heart Attack Grill Customer Has Heart Attack As Vegas Tourists Take Pictures
The Heart Attack Grill in downtown Las Vegas has a sign on the outside of its door that reads “CASH ONLY. Because you might die before the check clears” and that sign almost came true for one patients this week.
The restaurant gives free food to people over 350 pounds and they feature an 8,000 calorie “triple bypass burger” that is served by workers dressed as doctors and nursers.
As the man began sweating and shaking owner Joe Basso called 911 but tourists thought it was a stunt to drum up business and they then began taking photographs of the heart attack victim.
Basso spoke to FOX 5 Vegas after the incident and said of the strange situation:
“I actually felt horrible for the gentleman because the tourists were taking photos of him as if it were some type of stunt.”
Basso added:
“Even with our own morbid sense of humor, we would never pull a stunt like that.”
The diner is said to be recuperating and according to the restaurants owner this is the first time the restaurant has lived up to its name.
